Masoor Dal is a magic dal because it is loaded with protein, fibre, magnesium, calcium, and folate. It also helps in promoting skin health and prevents acne. Masoor dal / Pink Lentils are known to lower cholesterol and stabilize blood sugar levels. Masoor dal is also helpful in losing weight. What if I tell you that there is a two-ingredient recipe different from the usual Dal you cook. Here’s the recipe for Masur dal pancakes.

Ingredients for making Masoor Dal Pancakes

  • One cup masoor dal
  • Salt to taste

Directions for making Masoor Dal Dosa

  1. Soak one cup of masoor dal overnight. Drain off the water or use it for some other purpose.
  2. Grind the masoor dal to a fine consistency of a dosa batter. Add some water if required.
  3. Heat oil on a non-stick tawa or dosa tawa. Add the batter with a ladle and spread it in a pancake shape.
  4. Cook on both sides on medium flame.
  5. The masoor dal pancake is ready. Serve it with mint chutney, tomato sabzi, or coconut chutney.

Here’s a Tip: You can add variation to the pancake by using the same batter to make vegetable or onion uthappam.
